Electro-Rock Crosses Over to Recovery Help In a Surprising Way
Electro-rock has nearly always been darker, more negative, but that is changing. There is this cool recovery rock I came across by Matt Soren the other day that has a new perspective on electro-rock. His project is a mix of recovery music and the process of knocking out addiction.
There are some songs on his website at www.returnfrombroken.com. It appears like they are temporary while finishing official mixes. They sound clean to me but that’s just me. It is cool to find more rock like this written directly for addiction help in a more upbeat way from an addict that has had the experience and is making an impact for others. Also It’s nice to see this type of electro-rock coming from the industrial genre which is usually more rebellious in nature.
Oh yeah, he has free tracks you can get from his music page and more in his insiders area which is free. I also saw discount passes, graphics, and other stuff. It will be exciting to hear the album once it is finished.
